We are a dynamic and dedicated American Football association that has its origins in the year 2000. Our primary goal was and still is to introduce people to the versatile and tactical sport of American football.

In 2023, the club received new impetus with its re-establishment by a motivated board and a renewed mission. Our renewed goal is to make American football accessible and affordable for everyone who is interested. Whether you are a seasoned player or have never thrown a ball before, you are very welcome at the Amsterdam Panthers.

We offer both flag football and tackle football, for different ages and levels. Flag football is a non-contact variant of the sport, ideal for younger players and beginners to develop basic skills and understanding of the game. Tackle football, the full-contact version, offers an intense and strategic experience for those who want to take on the full challenge of the sport.

American football is known as one of the most strategic sports in the world. The goal is to get the ball to an area called the "endzone" by outsmarting the opponent. This can be done by throwing the ball through the air or by running with it. The game requires a combination of physical strength, speed, and above all, teamwork and strategy.

The Amsterdam Panthers are not just about sports, but also about community. We strive to provide an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone feels welcome. Our coaching staff and board are fully committed to helping each player grow, both on and off the field.

Our teams
Coaching Staff
At least 18 years old
We have a dedicated and experienced coaching staff who help our players reach their full potential. Our team of coaches consists of professionals with years of experience in both playing and training athletes at different levels. Not only are they experts in technical and tactical aspects of the sport, but they also understand the importance of mental and physical health.

Within the Amsterdam Panthers there is an intense and competitive atmosphere surrounding American football. Our team embraces the physical and strategic aspects of the sport and goes above and beyond on the field. With a mix of power, speed and tactical ingenuity, we strive for dominance, both nationally and internationally.
Senior Flag Football
At least 16 years old
The Amsterdam Panthers senior flag football team is a driven and diverse group of players, determined to shine both locally and internationally. With a mix of experience and emerging talent, we strive for competitiveness and fun on the field.

The youth are the future of our club, where we guide and inspire them in their first steps in American football. Our coaches work with these young players with enthusiasm and patience, with an emphasis on fun, development and teamwork.
